چکیده
Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a very common disease that results from the body’s inability to maintain blood glucose level within normal limits. Blood levels are either too high or low. One study shows up-to 30% people with DM experience skin problems. If sugar well controlled, rate of wound healing and developing severe infection significantly less. Regarding management in diabetic patients, keep wounds dry meticulous dressing, limb elevation, protect surgical fixation splint braces for an extended period time patient education touch wither consultant promptly report any unusual discomfort, pain, discharge, soaking dressing systemic symptoms. Connexins in wound healing; perspectives in diabetic patients.
Skin lesions are common events and we have evolved to rapidly heal them in order to maintain homeostasis and prevent infection and sepsis. Most acute wounds heal without issue, but as we get older our bodies become compromised by poor blood circulation and conditions such as diabetes, leading to slower healing. This can result in stalled or hard-to-heal chronic wounds. Currently about 2% of the...
متن کاملUsing lasers in diabetic wound healing.
Lasers are a treatment choice that appeals to patients. Early research suggests that laser therapy may have a role in hastening wound healing. Attempts have been made to use helium neon, CO2, and KTP lasers in encouraging wound healing in diabetics. We will review the English literature related to laser use in diabetic wound healing and discuss the concept of the use of nondestructive lasers fo...

متن کاملNanoparticle Containing sRAGE for Diabetic Wound Healing
We present a novel therapeutic peptide delivery system to improve the healing of diabetic chronic wounds. We have developed fusion proteins of elastin-like polypeptides (ELPs) and the soluble receptor for advanced glycation end product (sRAGE) that self-assemble at physiological temperatures. These nanoparticles can be easily purified from a bacterial culture system by inverse temperature cycle...

Objectives: Diabetes is a metabolic disorder mainly impairs the body glucose utilization capacity due to this perforcely repressing the immuno-dysfunction (decreases chemotaxis, phagocytosis and intracellular killing actions) and collagen synthesis which are essential in wound debridement management of diabetic patients. Delayed wound healing is considered as one of the most repulsive disabling...
